    Story Behind the Song
If you don't already know, IO is a moon of Jupiter. IO has a similar atmosphere to earth and we think we may have found signs of plant life there deep below the ice. Some of us sci-fi fans dream of someday starting over there...but know that no matter were we go, we are human and will make the same mistakes that make us want to go there in the first place... that is the gist of this song.

    Lyrics
    show the understanding theories
    that overpopulation kills
and know this is the answer
    preluding and escaping will
    to leave our present home
    go and find our own
    fates are similar
    new steps, new curse

    new steps, same curse
    step within our realm
    on IO
    we can start over without
flaws of ranks or laws dead hatred
    our minds read beyond
    this point of recognition
    to find out for ourselves
    to prove its self worthless
    to us
the dream is the way, see
    beyond seize the day, take
    time contemplate your life

    I don't know why we don't try
to search the skies and realize
if we die we can't deny that
    we as one will overcome
this vision is the way to look beyond
try and relate and focus on the surreal
but it has everything to do with you
    and us seeking new dreams
coming on to us without reasoning
    sufficiently binding us into coping
    with our destinies, curiosity,
    which is our first instinct

pass through to a new world,
    of what we've only imagined.
we have looked to the skies.
we have prayed to the stars.
    we cannot complain cause
    we've only come so far.

new steps at achieving complete bliss
new curse, more problems to deal with
    you're denying me the hypocrisies
    evolution is misleading
    new steps, same dreams
    same curse, same fate
we move on to the day of receiving
our new thoughts we must leave

    we must go beyond
we must overcome our natural instinct
    and cease to destroy

    same curse, same fate
    stand within our realm

    on IO
    we can start over without
flaws of ranks or laws dead hatred
    our minds read beyond
    this point of recognition
    to find out for ourselves
    to prove its self worthless
    to us
the dream is the way, see
    beyond sieze the day, take
    time contemplate your life

    I don't know why we don't try
to search the skies and realize
if we die we can't deny that
    we as one will overcome
this vision is the way to look beyond
try and relate and focus on the surreal
but it has everything to do with you
    and us seeking new dreams
coming on to us without reasoning
    sufficiently binding us into coping
    with our destinies, curiosity,
    which is our first instinct

go all alone, and stand on our own
we can't look up to our hopes of one
    day seeing our destiny unfold
we must wake up and go
    go all alone
    see with our eyes alone
