Story Behind the Song
My strange twist on the nursury rhyme 'Three Blind Mice', it describes the effects of dishonesty and its consequences as it relates to those it impacts. I was inspired by my own personal experiences in life, as I was with all my material.
Lyrics
All our lives we were taught to hold the truth. Don't despise what we knew from early youth. Friendship lasts with patience and integrity, but the foundation's broken without honesty.
It comes down to three blind lies. The first lie you told to yourself. Didn't think twice, and now you've put yourself through hell. The second lie is the lie that you told to me. If you'd have turned back then, the truth could have set you free.
Three blind lies. The third lie you told to the world. Wool's a poor disguise. Now the wolf gets what is deserved. I can't believe this web of lies and deceit you've spun. Why don't you face the truth, you need a lot of mending done.
(Chorus) Your brakes are lost and now you're headed down hill without your hazards on. At what a great cost you say your dignity's left, but all your trust is gone. Just say I'm sorry, say it humbly. Say I'm sorry, please believe me. Say sorry, forgive me.
