Story Behind the Song
"Move On" is about when Natasha liked this guy a lot, unfortunately he didn't feel the same, but for some reason it seemed like it was too hard to forget about him. After a couple of months of waiting for him to like her the same way, Natasha realized that it was time to move on, but wasn't positive if she could let go. The song's pre-chorus and chorus were written while Natasha was singing in the shower thinking about her frustration with this guy. The rest of the song was written at different times. To produce the song, it took about 8-10 hours, mostly once a week.
Lyrics
I've known you so many years and ever since I've been here/ I've liked you and wished that you would understand/ So one day not so long ago/ You said that you liked me too/ But the next day it all became untrue/ Ever since then i've been in denial/ Been waitin here so long/ And I just can't hold on, any longer/ But i wonder/ CHORUS: If I was like this or that, just different than I am/ Would you see me and like me , and even hold my hand/ Been waitin here so long for you to come around/ And I know it's time for me to say goodbye/ But can i...???/ I dont know why this thoughts I feel make you seem so surreal/ Cuz you're just a guy who's different than the rest/ I search for strength inside my heart then hope that i dont' fall apart/ Realizing that you're not for me/ Even now I'm still in denial/ Been waiting here so long/ And i just cant hold on any longer/ But I wonder...yeah.../CHORUS/ Hey you, why can't you hear me callin out (hear me callin out)/ I've been standin alone in the dark (alone in the dark)/ And I keep on crying deep down in my soul (in my soul) But I've gotta stop this now and take control/ CHORUS X2
