	Story Behind the Song 'The Chase'is about the pursuit of love. You meet someone, and see the possibility of a romantic attachment. You pursue it, but it may be elusive - at least for a while. There is a restless ache of yearning as the new focus of your romantic imagination seems to recede as you try to get closer. You wonder whether the strategy of your pursuit is the right one. Are you making a fool of yourself? Have you blown your chances by appearing too eager; too ardent? Suddenly you have become self-conscious again - something you thought you had left behind when you emerged from adolescence. You become awkward and uncertain. Perhaps your feelings will not be reciprocated. But you are compelled to continue the pursuit.
