Story Behind the Song
The motivation for this song came from people always asking me what style I rap. I always would tell them that I don't have a style like anyone elses and that's what started "A New Breed of Rap. In this song, the lyrics talk about me as The Prophet and what this game and this music means to me. I talk about the people who doubt you when your struggling and then want to be your friends again when you've made it. This song was written in my room one night. It took me a little over a half hour to write it. When I get thoughts in my head and i'm about to write, the lyrics just pour out. I could do a 20 minute track if I had to. I'm no joke when it comes to recording at the studio. I'm independent so everything is coming out of my pocket and every minute that I'm in the studio, it's costing me. On top of that, I don't like to mess around when i'm in the studio. I'm all about doing what I got to do and the passing it on to the producer, executive producer, and engineer to do their thing. I almost NEVER do more than 1 take on all my tracks.
Lyrics
Hook: Oh lord! My life seems strange at times, tryin to make a dollar outta nickel and a dime it ain't me, i've been through hell and back, So prepare for the wrath of a new breed of rap.
1st Verse: Mistakes equals experience, i'm not fearin it, i'm not hearin it, my mind state is inferior, the ones who try to doubt me always end up in the end, the one's on the phone sayin remember me I was your friend, from way back in the day, I never look your way but since you made it i'ma try and get my pay, it doesn't work that way, forgive but not forget, I would never change the past it made me with no regrets, now I got the chips and I got the c.r.e.a.m., i'm finally livin out this American dream, filled with stereotypes and standards set by society, i'm smarter than them, never let 'em get the best of me, instead I rise to the top never will I slip, The Prophet can't be killed, my light shines through the filth, this world ain't heavan and it ain't hell, it's more like a cell and we all locked up for eternity, but even when you go, a piece stays behind, memories that will last til the end of time a legend, no telling when the next will come, but you can't deny, that the best are gone, JFK and John Lennon, Tupack and Biggie Smalls, Malcolm X and Martin Luther, it's hard, but I ain't never gonna fall, I just proceed to rise and conquer, and try to stand tall.

2nd Verse: My world started as a young seed growin in the woom, once chance one time one reason to consume, this new life, that's been given to me, and words can't describe what this means to me, you see i've never been the type of person to sit back and wait, FUCK fate! my destiny is in my own hands, I got my own plan for this life of mine, 3 strikes will lock you down til the end of time, but not me, nah never that not the P, R, O, P, H, E, to the T, you try to come swift but they knock you down, you try to turn your back but then forget to look around, i'm tryin to find my way in this world of greed, currency means nothing if you can't succeed, so prepare for the wrath of a new breed of rap, The Prophet, and I ain't never goin back.

3rd Verse: So many people in this world try to bring you down, taking everything you got, leaving nothing left to be found, you got to stand tall fight through it all, never doubt yourself it could be your downfall, try to be the best you can at everything you do, the future's up to you you got to pave your own path, prepare for the wrath of a new breed of rap, The Prophet, and I ain't never going back.
