	Story Behind the Song I thought of how you can simplify your own life when looking at it through the life of a leaf. Lyrics I'm the last leaf on the tree, wonderin what will happen with me. Am I gonna hang around or am I gonna hit the ground? I'm swingin with the breeze, just doin as I please. I can see no one around, but just one look and I am found. Those that came before and after me seem to be gone. But for some reason, I am here and I'm holdin strong. I'm the last leaf on the tree, and I'm feelin no strain. There's a life bigger than mine, that feeds my veins. The rain it cools my skin, I can feel the warmth of the sun. I live life's harmony. I'm not out to hurt no one. Those that came before and after me seem to be gone. Life's been good but for some reason, I need to be strong. I'm the last leaf on the tree, and I can feel it won't be long. Cause time can steal away your strength, no matter if it's right or wrong. Well my time has come, and as I fall I'm not sad. I say a quiet thank you, for the life that I had.
