'Help Me Breathe' is the forthcoming single from Munkster to be released in the UK on May 19th 2003 and is the first single to be taken from the band's debut album 'Every Day Could Be The Same'.
"...with the rich vocals of Seb Wesson on hand to bring a twinkling guitar backdrop to its senses, it's soon a subtlety that thrives on echoes of Turin Brakes and a striking maturity. A homage to unpretentious artistry, this is ultimately spirit-lifting stuff." Rock Sound Magazine (May 2003) |

Story Behind the Song
The song was written in September 2002, and was initially written to feature as the b-side to 'Everyone Knows Your Name', the song was so good that 'Everyone Knows Your Name' was pulled and replaced with 'Help me Breathe', but don't worry, 'Everyone Knows Your Name' will see a single release probably later in the year.
As with all Munkster's music the track takes you on a journey, the vocal frustration of the verse and chorus are adequately juxtaposed by the mid-point crash in of the heavy textured guitars.
With highly addictive melodies, harmonies, and one of the catchiest guitar riffs around, it is almost a foregone conclusion that this track will be around for a very long time.
Lyrics
Well I Can See The Stars
Staring Back At Me
And Their Smiling Faces
Help Me To Breathe
And It Feels Like It's
Easier To Breathe
And It Feels Like It's
Easier To Breathe
To Breathe
Well I Can Feel The Ocean
Taking Hold Of Me
As It Pulls Me Under
It's Harder To Breathe
And I Wish It Was
Easier To Breathe
And I Wish It Was
Easier To Breathe
To Breathe
To Breathe
To Breathe
I'll Take You Down
Easier To Breathe
I'll Take You Down
Easier To Breathe
I'll Take You Down
Easier To Breathe
I'll Take You Down
I'll Take You Down
