Munkster's Medicine is a yet to be classic rock track. It's sultry atmospherics and open heart surgery vocals had www.soundsxp.com claiming that 'all indie rock' should be like this. Released commercially in September 2002 on the band's debut 'A Thousand' ep it has remained a firm favourite with the gig-going public. Watch out for a new studio version for Munkster's debut album 'Every Day Could Be The Same'.

    Story Behind the Song
The song Medicine is a journey through the a hard life, one of frequent turmoil and institutionalisation. The song builds to a deeply satisfying end which leaves the listener warmed through, as our hero finds a place of hapiness, 'with his friends'.

Medicine is not a true life story, although it reflects a part of the human condition that is in all of us, the often truamatic search for belonging and acceptance.

With Medicine, Munkster provide a comprehensive work which draws on their collective song writing ability, exceptional musical ability, and allows singer Seb Wesson to put his outstanding vocal ability up there with the greatest male vocalists such as David Gray, Jeff Buckley, and Chris Martin.

    Lyrics
    Don't leave me here
    All by my self
    I've never been, anyplace else

    I'm sick again
    Least I still breathe

    CHORUS
    May go on for hours
    May go on for days
May go on till the medicine wears off

    May go on for hours
    May go on for days
    May go on forever

    So now I've left
    I'm on my way
    I'm in and out
    Of trouble

    I'm sick again
    Least I still breathe

    CHORUS
    May go on for hours
    May go on for days
May go on till the medicine wears off

    So now I'm here
    I'm with my friends
    I'm happier
    Than ever
