	Awuor is a Luo word, meaning "The time just before dawn".

	Story Behind the Song Awuor is a Luo word meaning "the time just before dawn". I wrote it about my wife before I met her, when I found out that people from the Luo tribe name their children after the time of the day they are born. So the song is about this time of night, often the darkest, but one where light follows. For me personally, it was full of good omens.
