	Story Behind the Song This version is an update of the song I originally wrote on 9/11. This version was written in support of our fighting forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. I was moved to write this song in the aftermath of the tragedy as a way to cope with my own grief and anger. I was also distressed by a series of unprovoked attacks against innocent Arab Americans. I feel that the lyrics accurately reflect what most Americans are thinking now after the attack. It took me 15 minutes to write this song. I recorded on my home computer in raw audio format without the benefit of any post-recording processing. Lyrics ON A TUESDAY IN SEPTEMBER THE WORLD WAS CHANGED FOREVER AS A NEW FORM OF TERROR STRUCK OUR LAND THOUGH WE STAGGERED DAZED AND BATTERED WHEN SO MANY LIVES WERE SHATTERED WE RESOLVE TO NEVER LET THEM STRIKE AGAIN LET'S ALL STAND TALL FOR AMERICA WHERE EVERYONE IS FREE TO LIVE IN LIBERTY LET'S ALL STAND TALL FOR AMERICA AND SUPPORT OUR FIGHTING FORCES EVERYWHERE. OUR ATTACKERS MADE AN ERROR WHEN THEY LAUNCHED THEIR WAVE OF TERROR NEVER THOUGHT WE'D BAND TOGETHER FOR A FIGHT DIDN'T WANT THE WAR THEY BROUGHT US AND WHAT 9/11'S TAUGHT US IS THAT WE'VE GOT TO TAKE A STAND AND DO WHAT'S RIGHT SO, LET'S ALL STAND TALL FOR AMERICA WHERE EVERYONE IS FREE TO LIVE IN LIBERTY LET'S ALL STAND TALL FOR AMERICA AND DEFEND THE CHERISHED LAND THAT WE LOVE DON'T LET ANGER AND SUSPICION RESULT FROM OUR DECISION FOR IT'S EVIL, AND NOT PEOPLE, WE SHOULD HATE THOSE OF EVERY RACE AND COLOR WE CONSIDER AS OUR BROTHERS AND THAT IS WHY AMERICA IS GREAT LET'S ALL STAND TALL FOR AMERICA WHERE EVERYONE IS FREE TO LIVE IN LIBERTY LET'S ALL STAND TALL FOR AMERICA AND SUPPORT OUR FIGHTING FORCES EVERYWHERE.
