	Lyrics It is or was your eye and across a crowded high school classroom I find it beautifully there. A small dune bathed blue and yellow banana moon shapes licking your lashes in a sky swollen shut and violet silken plump and royal breathing and violet desert eye. (I can't describe it right no matter what I try.) Facing that way two rows over one up you can't quite see me behind to the left with that left eye an eye corrected purple and pregnant. The editor must have probably been a bicycle handlebar knob locker door, but I am imagining violent boyfriends and lecherous stepfathers, scenes where I hold you as you convulse crying confessing the terrible terrible things till I wipe off the tears with my thumbs, lock my stern jaw and through clenched teeth pronounce "No one will ever hurt you again." Today is the first time I've noticed you, seen you or anything. Where have you been? I admit there is nothing about you remarkable, except that incredible rippling pool of lilac at twilight that orbits your sad tiny eye. (It's still not right; it's out of my reach.) It's as if you are sitting there naked pretending that no one can tell that you are.
