    Story Behind the Song
I came up with the idea reflecting on the changes in my own life. I wrote and recorded the song over about a 2 week period. Did about 4 takes.

    Lyrics
    I don't know where I'm going
I don't know where I ought to be
It's the only time I've ever
    Been worried 'bout my destiny
Lately life has not been easy
And it's getting harder all the time
And the road is always changing
And it's getting hard to read the signs

Should I stop here or turn around
Can't tell if I'm up or down
If I could get my feet back on the ground
    I think I'd be okay
It's too much change for this old heart
I don't know where or how to start
But I'd be glad to do my part
If I could only find my way

    Lost out on the highway
    Miles from my nearest friend
I'm broken down since I left town
Don't know if I can get back again
There's no peace inside this heartache
And I might be running out of time
But this road just keeps on changing
And it's getting hard to read the signs

Should I stop here or turn around
Can't tell if I'm up or down
If I could get my feet back on the ground
    I think I'd be okay
It's too much change for this old heart
I don't know where or how to start
But I'd be glad to do my part
If I could only find my way

Should I stop here or turn around
Can't tell if I'm up or down
If I could get my feet back on the ground
    I think I'd be okay
It's too much change for this old heart
I don't know where or how to start
But I'd be glad to do my part
If I could only find my way
If I could only find my way
