Awesome song that truly rocks, starts off with just an acoustic guitar but not for long, because it goes into full fledged rock, not hardcore but definetly not soft, this song is about where we can lay down our burdens, as well as what Christ laid down for us, his life. |

Story Behind the Song
The first song ever created by Day of Atonement before it was even a band, just a Christian drummer and guitarist getting together creating a song to be played for one special event. Didnt stay that way for long. This song is about Jesus's ministry and death, how he preached of the burdens to be given to him cause he will make up what we will lack. In a crowd, the title comes from where his ministry began, always in a crowd professing his Father and the kingdom. Things changed however and so did the crowd he found himself in by his cruxifiction where he carried the burdens of his cross and our sins. Great song, enjoy.
Lyrics
"Are you weak, are you heavy laden,
Does your soul need rest?"
Stood in a crowd, in the middle of a street
And this is what he professed
"I am strong, I can carry anything
That you can give to me
Just take a walk with me and you'll begin to see
I can set you free"
I can take your heavy heart
Just give me the burdens that you carry
I can take your heavy heart
The pain, the shame, and the story
Just lay them all before me
I can take your heavy heart
Walking these familar roads of before
They cried for the blood of him
In a crowd, in the middle of a street
He bore the cross and my sin
Nailed him down, they raised him up
Hung him there from that tree
Perfect blood he shed and this he said
"Forgive those who've done this to me"
