This song is yet another 2-chord vamp between the bass, and guitars. Utilizing two major chords this time, C Major and E Major, this progression smells like 311 in its clean phase. The chorus of the song breaks the same chords into distortion, with a small lead part on the E chord, that sounds totally sweet the first two times, and the second 2 times featuring brave octaves by Corey Placito. The subtle lead part by Corey during voices accompanies traditional metaphorical lyrics sung by Adrian Tardy. "And we'll rise and soar, we'll see this world in reform". The middle of the song yields a solo octave part by Corey while accompanied by Adrian on the palmmute/chords, which breaks into the heated last chorus of the song, featuring screams behind the sung chorus. David accompanies the verses beautifully with subtle high-hats and snare, then goes crazy, even adding double bass to the scene in the chorus. Another long one, at 5:22, this song is a tradition CON epic ballad. Keep em coming, bunnies. (written by Alex Placito) |
