Story Behind the Song
This song grew out of a frustration of radio and other popular music. Sick and tired of the mindless drivel being thrown at us left right and centre, the need to make a song like this was overwhelming.
Lyrics
We're high on hate, we're high on hatred. Whiney bastards and their suffering! Heavy rock and shitty lyrics are a ticket to success - if I wanted to pretend would that make me rich? Status is a simple concept we use.
My cynical view!
There's more to life than being down for the sake of some false image. Cuz I can wear the clothes I want and I can write the songs I want and I can enjoy what I want! Sure, there's things to worry about, but the airwaves are saturated with "She loves me not"'s!! Why's it so hard to write something worth understanding? Something worth listening to?
My cynical view!
"What've we got to gain when lifes not worth living? Who'd have thought that it would happen to me!?"
Oh, this day I'll try to save, savour each and every day.
If I could escape this place,
If I were rain I'd be safe,
What we've come to is a disgrace,
My thoughts can't communicate this rage!
