Story Behind the Song
All guitar, bass, keys and vox are me - drums are borrowed. Been working on this for some time now with different formats and I am just about happy with this result. I am sure the blues purists will criticise for the genre choice, but I could not decide the exact fit, so I chose blues 'cos thats what influences my writing most.
Lyrics
Love gives you a choice
1. Once I knew a poor man, he wished for wealth and gold,
He never knew that what he had, was more than he could hold,
2. Once I knew a lonely girl, she was wishin' for love untold,
She was always looking for a fairy-tale, that never would unfold.
Ch. Can anybody help me? I need an answer soon,
The World's just to big to search, and time stops for no tune,
Can anybody help me? I need to hear a voice,
I must believe life's easier, when love...gives you a choice.
3. Once I knew a stranger, he tried to be a friend to me,
I turned and walked away from him, thinking I'd set him free,
4. Once I looked into a mirror, and saw that stranger standing there,
And all I could do was shed a tear, for the years lost to eternity...
Repeat chorus - solo - repeat verses 1 & 2 - end
