	With a robust film-score-like harmonic language which conjures up dreams of space travel and floating in orbit, Haunting is a hallmark of Wolff's more romantic and lyrical qualities.

	Story Behind the Song Haunting was conceived well over a year ago. As the evolution of the Piano Trio progressed, it is fair to say that Haunting has remained relatively un-edited. It was composed over a stay in Central New York during X-mass, as the cold harsh icicles are clearly evident through the created texture. The cadenza was written specifically for Elizabeth Johnson just prior to the first performance of the work. I feel this is very indicative of my film-style from which I have drawn a majority of the harmonic language in this movement. I would term as one of my more romantic and lyrical aspects of composition.
