Lyrics NEVER BEEN TO NEW YORK i'm not going back to Texas my car wouldn't make it to Mexico i've never been to New York but now it's all i think about maybe this is the story of a woman who was tired of waking up from her dreams to more illusions seventy-five cents from the center of Seattle praying, "point me downstream, Lord... pass me a paddle" maybe this is the story of a man who would listen to positions as he tried to understand but in the end there is more faith than there is doubt and more water than land maybe this is the story of a woman and man who knew more about making love than they did about making plans didn't hold on very tight to much of anything but one anothers' hands
