Story Behind the Song
I was on vacation with my family on 9/11 when the tragedy struck. That really put a damper on the vacation, and in the aftermath I wrote "Safe And Free" on the tranquil white sands of the gulf coast. It was ready to go when I returned. All it took was a few phone calls to get things rolling. This song was produced in the true spirit of giving and support. The engineer and musicians donated their time, and the webmaster donated his services in creating a dedicated website at safeandfree.net where all download donations go directly to American Red Cross.
