    Story Behind the Song
This song was inspired by the greatest fear I could ever have - losing my memories. When you have had an exceptional life and been surrounded by extraordinary people, how painful must it be to lose the memories that you have, and to know that you are losing your mind.

    Lyrics
I remember once before our time
As we walked under a troubled sky
When you took my hand, you took my breath away.

You took me down where we used to go
And showed me things I would never have known
And you touched my soul in your way.

Take me down where we used to go.
Take me down, I need you so.

Do I remember? Was it you and me?
We shared our worlds so easily.
And when the time came, I know you were there.

I feel your warm touch, in my cool room.
I sense you near and I know you care and
If I could hold you now, it would be ok.

Take me down where we used to go.
Take me down, I need you so.

So I dont understand why it is that you had to go away from me.
And I don’t think its right cause I know how much you need me to be with you.

In my bitter confusion I know youre near, but my crazy mind says youre not here.
I can feel you close, and I try real hard, yeah I try real hard,

    I try real hard

    To reach you.

No matter how hard I try, I just cant seem to reach you.
No matter how hard I try, I just cant seem to reach you.
No matter how hard I try, I just cant seem to reach you.

Several winters have passed since we were one,
Times have changed but they cant be undone,
Nothing can take away what we had.

If loneliness is the price I must pay
For loving you in those warmer days,
Then Ill pay more just to do it again.

Take me down where we used to go.
Take me down, I need you so.

Take me down where we used to go.
Take me down, I love you so.
