	This is the first song we wrote as Stealing Second. The wide range of dynamics has made it fairly popular among listeners of Songs from the Well. The sound quality on this song (and the rest of the songs on Songs from the Well) is not very good, mostly due to the fact that the recording was free. With any luck, we will have better recordings up soon.

	Lyrics lightning black marbles don't ever let the sunlight in, sitting like hermits and vibrating like chairs, if only someone could supply the batteries. don't look into that letterbox. fly black, intimidating like blades of grass as they saw coarsely across a dusty finger, their serrated edges so close but so far from slicing away whatever memories we had. sunrays are tapping bony fingers, glowing fingers gently but firmly on the glassy windows of their eyes. using long, long thick fingernails to peel back their eyelids like curtains. the letterbox holds fragments of a momentary memory staggering for decency.
