    Story Behind the Song
First song we actually all sat down as a band and tried to brainstorm/write. Like Stars Don't Shine, the lyrics came awhile after the music. After we had all sat down and failed to come up with anything, Eric just wrote this all in one shot and submitted it to the boys for a proofread. After that it just kind of stuck.

    Lyrics
    V1:
I try to tell you sometimes
    The inner me
    What makes me tick
But every time I try I fail

We play this back and forth game
    The winners lose
    The losers win
So while I’m drownin’ here did
    You help me out
    Or pull me in…

    Chorus:
And just as the sun goes down each night
So my thoughts they fade from you
I run from the darkness of that light
    When your black became...

    You don’t own me
    I don’t owe you
    You don’t know me anymore…

    V2:
So now we stand alone here
    Upon that ledge
    You know so well
You still can’t see the bottom
    Because you lied
    You never fell

I start to walk away and
    You call me back
    By your side
I point to the rocks below sayin’
    I’m not yours
    That me died

    Chorus
