	Story Behind the Song Come Back was written about my life at the time. I felt I was losing myself and what I believed in. I was also unhappy that I was turned down for a date and soaked it up with alcohol. As I read the song years later it became clear that the song also entailed losing my father at age 15. Come back took on a dual meaning. Lyrics I try to come to grips with this stranglehold I keep on my lips. I’ve been told it’s ok, just close your eyes, it goes away. I fool myself I’m strong enough, but then I get going when the going gets rough. Come back, come back. Take a dose of real life. Come back, come back from where your soul resides.
