    Story Behind the Song
This one was written in California in the bathroom of our apartment we had there. I wrote it on the acoustic, and immediately liked the riff. The melody I came up with always stayed the same, but at first it was REAL Robert Smith like. I had envisioned the song having the same dynamics, but maybe a little scaled down, so that might've worked. But it came out a little harder around the edges, so when it came time to do the vocal, I just belted it. And the guitar tracks were done with a little processor a buddy of mine let me borrow for a bit. The drums sound great, picolo snares man! The original title I had for it was "September Summer". You see, if you spend time in California, especially Northern California, it doesn't get warm til' September! And this was just kinda harkin' back to when you were in your teens, and you met the girl at the party who who made you think 'Damn, I might just finaly get laid!!" Anyway, I hope you dig it

    Lyrics
    Now everyone at the party
had a feelin' something might happen oh yeah
    My pocket protector
was past the expiration date that I knew
Then I saw her, and she saw me
I got up my geek pride
I cut a jig across the carpet oh yeah
    Said I'd be Tim Burton
If She'd be Paulina or Lisa Marie

And she showed me, yeah you showed me
    That one time September Summer

    Had some trouble that Summer
I got beat up more than a couple of times
My Dad said it would behoove me
If I worked out to make the wresteling team
Then you showed me, yeah you showed me
Told me her deepest dark secrets
Right there outside by her folks swimmin' pool
The vodka was working, she looked into my eyes and I saw the truth

Yeah you showed me, yeah you showed me
    That one time September Summer

    She moves in Stereo
    Sounds so good to me
    She moves in stereo
She's all I wanted to see

Yeah you showed me, yeah you showed me
    that one time September Summer
