Story Behind the Song
What is 'psychedelic'? Originally, it was about opening your mind, as in the experiences described in Aldous Huxley's seminal work "The Doors of Perception", which inspired many to explore mind-expansion via pharmacological means. In this work, we try to use cognitive dissonance as the catalyst -- the mind-jarring contrast between the emotions and sounds of US military might in action and a plaintive ballad of love in the classic American folk/pop style, glued together with a bit of electronic ambience. As we in the US again engage in an undeclared war of dubious Constitutional legitimacy, I once more pose the question "Where is the love?" and pray for a few minds to be opened to the fact that, as humans, we are all brothers and sisters. -- Bill House of Hatem House.
Lyrics
I don't know what's bugging you,
but I know what I want to do.
I don't know what's on your mind,
but Baby, I know what's on mind.
Where is the love,
For you and me?
Where is the love?
If I could only see
Your face come through my door.
Baby, that's what I'm living for.
I don't just what to do,
It's a hang up I'm going through.
And I don't know just what to say,
I just know there must be a way...
To find the love
For you and me.
Where is the love?
If I could only see
Your love come through my door,
Baby, that's what I'm living for.
Where is the love,
For you and me?
Where is the love?
If I could only see
Your face come through my door.
Baby, that's what I'm living for.
Where is the love,
For you and me?
Where is the love?
If I could only see...
Your face come through my door,
Baby, that's what I'm living for.
Until your love comes through my door,
Baby, that's what I'm living for.
