2 Cor 5:6-9 So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him

Story Behind the Song
Artie tells the story of how this song came to him at a time when his whole world seemed to be crumbling and falling apart. It came in a moment of desperation as a word of comfort from the Lord. His song so poignantly expresses how believers in Christ have the assurance of eternal life with Him after these brief years on earth are finished. This promise has brought me comfort time and time again in times of pain and trouble.
Lyrics
I want to go to Heaven.
I think that you should know.
I've got my suitcase packed and
I'm ready to go.
I want to leave tomorrow,
please don't make me wait.
I want to go, I want to go to heaven.
I want to go to Heaven and
see my saviors face.
I'll bow down and thank Him for
His amazing grace.
I'll take all my joys and sorrows and
lay them at His feet.
I want to go, I want to go to Heaven.
When I see the stars at night in all their glory,
my heart longs for eternity.
When I hear a church bell ring and the gospel story,
Heaven's where I want to be.
(Piano Solo)
When I see the stars at night in all their glory,
my heart longs for eternity.
When I hear a church bell ring and the gospel story,
Heaven's where I want to be.
Now when I get to Heaven
I'll take a look around.
I'll dance on those streets of gold and
kiss that holy ground.
I'll live round the bend,
from Abraham you see.
I want to go, I want to go to Heaven.
I want to go, I want to go to Heaven.
I want to go, I want to go to Heaven.
