	Story Behind the Song Everyday I have to load the car with my two girls (3) and (5) to go get their mother from work. Everyday I find myself saying the same words several times to my 3 year old. 'Karlee get your shoes on.' So that became the focal point of this song. Along with some other things that happen. The music and arrangement came progressively over two weeks of working the melody out in my head. Than the words came very fast within hours after "Karlee get your shoes on" stuck in the refrain of the song. Written in 2000 my girls are now 5 and 7 and they still love this song.
