Harrison-esque break up song with a cool harmony laden chrus and spacy guitar solo.

Credits: Words:Regan L. Barger Music: Regan L Barger and Ray Hartman

    Story Behind the Song
A simple letter to the mother of my daughter, Moyra. We'd been together ten years and had just run out of patience with my addition.I wanted her to know that I was cool with what she had to do to be happy. Ray Hartman, the bassist for BrokenNess wrote the chord progression and both he and I played the guitars. This is our drummer Danes' favorite song on the CD.

    Never Be The Same
    Words: Regan L. Barger /Music: Regan L Barger_Ray Hartman
    Barger Publishing {ASCAP} 2002

Turn the page the story’s over
    You and me are through
    Bitterness I felt this year
    Something I been working through
Years that we had were not all deception
    That’s a simple truth
Love I have won’t just disappear
True that I been missing you
    The little things you do
    I guess I finally got a clue

And I know it will Never Ever Be The Same
And I know there’s a mountain of you pain

Little girl has answered some questions
    Like a ray of light
In the year that I’ve been away
I’ve come to see that you were right
I am thankful and blessed for the time that we had girl
    And I’ve lost the pain
If you need me for anything
Baby call me when you can
    And I’ll try to understand
It’s over but it isn’t bad

And I know it will Never Ever Be The Same
And I know your tears came down like rain
And I know it will Never Ever Be The Same
And I know and I know and I know

The holidays kind of get me down
I’m adjusting to the fact that you’re not around
    I’m so tired of crying
I been looking ahead to the great unknown
I’ve been looking behind at our broken home
    I’ll never stop trying

And I know it will Never Ever Be The Same
And I know there’s a river of your pain
And I know it will Never Ever Be The Same
And I know and I know and I know
