Tuneful song from the heart. When you fly through the skies above, never stop your heart from feeling selfless human love. |

Story Behind the Song
What do you do when your dreams come true, and you find yourself really on top of the world? Why do some people have deep, trusting relationships, and then they become big stars, and their personal lives self-destruct? Maybe it's safer not to try for anything.
I sang this song in some cabaret shows, and it's really about wanting success from the outside, and totally not understanding how people who have it are miserable. It's sometimes hard to remain human.
This recording is a home version, so it's just really me.
Lyrics
I know that thrill
Never forget
Soaring above
Way above all the rest
See the whole world
Shining below
There's a danger you must know
Don't fly too high
Don't become undone
I'm not talking about the fires
On the burning sun
There's got to be a reason
The earth keeps pulling down
I'm not saying we're
Destined to be
Stuck on the ground
But when you fly
Through the clouds above
You begin to feel the power
Self indulgent love
That's when.. all of the beauty
Of living in the land
Forgotten, and for you
There's no home anymore
And how long can you
Soar alone
Now listen close
Don't be afraid
Long as you live
Wherever you have strayed
Just turn your head
See where you've been
You can come home again
(musical interlude)
But when you fly
Through the clouds above
Never stop your heart from feeling
Selfless human love
And then .. all of the beauty
Of living in the land
So rich, inspiring
Every song that you sing
You can bring all the world with you (along)
