	This song was one of two songs recorded in a studio in Ithaca, NY in 1977. The recording session went well into the night (morning!)and was quite an experience. If I recall correctly, the song was co-written by Chip & John Vickio. The song received some airplay on regional radio stations, and became a popular song with the band's followers.
	Story Behind the Song "Sad & Lonely", like most of the songs, stemmed out of jam sessions. Usually, John would set a chord progression and Chip would set a rhythm pattern, and a theme would be established with words being added last.
