This French song conveys the feeling of satisfaction after a day of serendipity exploring the countryside and local folklore (ie. a magnetic hill). It's theme is universal; there is always an attraction to the unknown.
    CD: Songs for Rent
Credits: Lyrics & Music by Wendy Zupans, Ryland sings backup & plays atonal Glockenspiel

    Story Behind the Song
The song generates the surreal vibe of the Megantic Region of Quebec and of the Eastern provinces of Canada. It describes an optical illusion created when you park at the bottom of a certain hill, put the car in neutral and watch as it appears to roll UP the hill! Magnetism. It's about attraction to people, places, and things... Written in an afternoon, recorded at Echobase, the backup vocal is my son, Ryland (check out the natural harmony tracking of a 6 year old voice).

    Lyrics

    (Chorus 2)(Chorus 1)(Chorus1+2)
Et si vous chercher des trippeurs
faudra bien que t'a pas peure,
et si vous chercher des trippeurs,
y'en auras au bout du bar.
