	Story Behind the Song The awful attack on America (9/11/01) leaves citizens shocked but not hopeless... Lyrics Towers stood they're ground The city travels around them Who would've thought, a battle would soon be fought? The wingspan reached the location planned And soon sent shrapnel to the families below it You could hear them cry It hit us like a bomb Our nation felt the shock With Afghanistan to blame You people have no shame Our nation felt the shock It hit us like a bomb The aftermath had left us fearful and shaken Stunned to see the structure breaking In disbelief we caught a glimpse Another floating overhead It ignored the previous deaths The mothers & fathers that bled Sudden explosion appearing The buildings tattered and caving This image burnt into our memories Forever loathing that September day
