Story Behind the Song
I still have a lot of hope in me, even though I am sometimes frustrated beyond sanity by all the ugliness and meaninglessness I see and feel. I guess that no matter how screwed up this world gets the sun will always arise and a new morning be born with it, at least until we have totally destroyed everything
Lyrics
"time is on my side, yes it is." -rolling stones
through concrete sidewalks, between monuments of insanity, i walk in the smog of the factories and the noise of the machines i seek to find something of flesh and blood on the other side. in these endless urban jungles without begining or end. a world wrapped up in concrete, reaching for the sky
as night falls, my only stronghold is that the sun rises even in hell,
and i grasp that hope with all the strenght that i can find. hope is such a deceitful friend, but still i need it every step on the way.
although never praying on sore knees,
altrough never begging for more
my longing for a better tomorrow leaves me no choice but to raise the stakes in hope to find just excactly what has been lost. get out of the labyrinth or die tonight!
the questions outwheighs the anwers, still this other world seems by far the best.
time might not reveal any answers, but at least it passes on...
get out!
no matter how unbearable, the sun shall rise and fall again. for each shadow cast, light shall again conquer darkness. it is only a question when the rain will come chrashing down. i shall not seek shelter.
