	Story Behind the Song "PTMC Has Big Plans for Mars." Thats what all the headlines are saying -- that the PTMCs Mars Colonization Project is "the future of mankind." Never mind that it was just last year, that the mega-corporation was facing charges of monopolizing the military hardware industry. Once again their Director of Crisis Contingency Management and Public Relations has set the press spinning. Gushing nothing but praise for PTMCs latest benevolent conquest. The threat of lost sales over their history of mining "accidents" now swept conveniently into the nearest infinite abyss by one Samuel Dravis. PTMCs arrogance in proceeding with Mars Colonization Project without waiting for approval from the Collective Earth Council has earned it the most unfavorable attention from the military. The Collective Earth Defense has issued a formal request that PTMC halt further construction until a Council hearing on the matter has come to an agreement. PTMC President Suzuki has urged strongly that the CED be more cooperative and realize that the timely completion of the Colony is critical to the success of the project and the welfare of its inhabitants. Critical to PTMCs profit margin perhaps especially since it was well known that the CED had intended to establish a military project on Mars long before PTMC made its move. Once completed, the PTMC Colony will profit hugely from supplying materials to any further development on the planet, making it a veritable "cash-cow" for the military/industrial super-giant. And giving the PTMC direct control over the economic viability of planetary development projects engaged by other corporationsincluding the CED. As an elite pilot flying for a CED Special Operations Group, your orders are to covertly lead a sabotage squad into the PTMC Mars Colony and cause the facilitys main reactor to succumb to an "accidental" meltdown. This will force the evacuation and abandonment of the project while the CEC takes measures to ensure that a proper military operation is established as a prerequisite to Mars colonization. So what if a few PTMC Colonists get in the way. After completing your mission with surgical precision, a horrifying turn of events takes place. CED Command elects to abandon you and your teamto tie up any "loose ends", and erase all involvement in the tragedy that is about to occur. In two minutes, a miniature tactical nuclear device will detonate... planted precisely to look like a critical reactor failure... ...and unleashing a deadly wash of radiation upon some seven-thousand unsuspecting colonistsand your entire unit. Sealing yourself in an airtight compartment, oblivious to the well being of your comrades, you risk suffocation to avoid the deadly mutagenic effects. Survivors of what came to be called the "PTMC Mars Colony Incident" would become the inhabitants of the CEDs New Mars Colony known as "Nomads". Discovered by PTMC Crisis Contingency Management teams, you are interrogated by the Director of the Division, Samuel Dravis, Jr. himself. With vengeance in mind, you accept a "deal" with the well-dressed, sharp-tongued man, and reluctantly agree to work for himrather than face charges regarding the Colony Incident--on a secret project targeting the CED. After all, you do owe him your life, and you dont suppose the CED is planning a welcome home parade.
