An ethereal instrumental Blues... fairly laid back, but with a punch to it, if that makes any sense. It's literally the ways I feel when I paint with the color... a pivotal piece of my evolution from Native American to Global Citizen. | MP3.com CD: The Blues - tod - buy it!

Story Behind the Song
I had a long creative dry spell after 9/11... my politics got blown wide open, and suddenly I had no fight left in me for the NDN plight. It was as if all 500 years of injustice became just a small piece of an entire history of humanity eating itself alive... victims of every color, culture, and place in time for as far as my mind could see, and my heart was stunned into silence.
This song was one of the first sounds my heart made as it slowly began to embrace the truth that we're all in this together, and that fighting, even for the Just Cause, and especially with music as the weapon, is a place I can no longer live. Fighting for peace is the most ominous oxymoron I can think of, but I have no alternative suggestions.
Lyrics
This song is wordless because it says all it needs to say, and far, far more than any specific words would nail it down to. For a more in-depth explanation of what I'm saying, go out and buy yourself a tube of Cobalt Blue paint, and use it while playing the song.
