	Story Behind the Song Still a work in progress, as with all of these songs. This one is challenging for me vocally, since I'm mostly self-taught and still very amateur, yet I tend to get really into singing this one and forget what few singing basics I usually remember. A lot of these vocal and instrumental parts, as with most of my work here, is one-to-four-take stuff. (If I really knew how to play and sing all these things, I suppose that wouldn't be a bad thing.) Lyrics (incomplete at this writing) I was built to reject interference by emotion And now I I expect that the payoff plan has been set in motion But it moves in a strange way and I find in my hand Like a toy Humanity and with it History, the lay of the land And I can't swallow my reaction. I pace the room, Eight strides across the floor. I'm stuck in the middle. There's never been a middle before! I can't take my time... It carries too big a price to pay I can't speak my mind...
