    Story Behind the Song
This song caught the attention of Emily Brookes records and we were asked to travel down to Newport News, Virginia to record it for release on a compilation album(New Country Vol 19) The trip was exciting and the recording process went extremely well. We were able to finsih the song in only a few hours. The whole trip was documented on video and might be available to Porch Junkies fans in the future.

    Lyrics
This is a tribute to the hills
Feel like I wanna pop some pills
People around us, they know it all
Let's hope they don't stumble and fall

    But you know they will

You know I don't see the light at the top of the hill
While the sun sets the summit, it's so still
    I'm always gonna dream
That the rain seeps through the cracks
So I can go down down beneath the tracks

And I've seen you walk outside of that road
Gonna be here with you together
Gonna go down and live together and die sometime

This is the tribute to the hills
My mind it always steals it's chills
Nature and creatures, they realm the field
Let's all sit back and click our heels

You know I don't see the light at the top of the hill
While the sun sets the summit, it's so still
    I'm always gonna dream
That the rain seeps through the cracks
So I can go down down beneath the tracks

    I don't, I don't know why
Why I can't sit down and sleep tonight
    I don't, I don't know why
Why I can't sit down and sleep tonight
