Story Behind the Song
This song was written in a haze of listening to Prince's "Crystal Ball" box. The song is about scene-politics and the inner conflict felt when diving into the belly of the beast.
Funny enough, this song was tenatively titled "Hot Daughters".
Lyrics
Hey children don't you know that I love your band?
I'm a motivated man you see. Or don't you see that?
Cool brother, can't you see my mangled hands?
Could you shake the one that makes the man, more than that?
Ooh, this cruel winter is killing me.
and those stars near the moon won't be saving me.
But I never lied, about the feelings I cherish and hide.
So I make mistakes that I love to make for me.
Hey baby, don't you know that I love my cave.
I've never wandered out, or in, but the story is the same.
So they've got weather that I never thought I'd see.
They bringing it to me for real, but only better.
