Moody acoustic pop with strong lyrics and great harmony. |

Story Behind the Song
Ed's lyrics instantly inspired the opening lick and verse chord sequence, and the rest just fell into place. Mike's harmonies and guitar playing add quite a bit to the finished song. We recorded it with Neumann mics into a Yamaha digital 16-track at Mike's house. I'm particularly proud of this song, and it has been very well received.
Lyrics
Return to Grace
Matt Robert, Ed Whalen
Nobody knows why you wake up wanting the rain
Because it reminds you of everything you've ever been
These days are bound to come
When she's still She says,
"Baby, will you remember this tomorrow?"
You know that I will
CHORUS: all that you want is a little disappearing
in the people you just can't replace
you said you knew about love
but maybe that was all a mistake
‘cause now all you need is a return to grace(2X)
She said, "baby, all I see is your - eyes.
Where have all the blue lights - gone?"
These days are all too long
And I regret all the things I can't forget
I remember all the things you never figured out
BRIDGE: and maybe I feel the same
waiting to feel the change
fall on me
conversations still hang in air
linger everywhere
it will never be the same
waiting to feel the change fall on me.
She said she liked the way I dreamed
About the seasons and things in between
But I dreamt of the rain today
Tried not feel all washed away
"Baby, will you remember this tomorrow?"
You know that I will
