Story Behind the Song
This song was written by Cory Wilkins right around the new year of 1999. He says, "It's a reflection of time and how fast it goes. You just miss much of what goes on around you and let it pass you by." It was recorded in the, "Brave the Rain," sessions at, "Spare Room Studios," in Bethlehem NH in February of 2000. Cory says, "it was my first vocal ever in a studio. I had been singing for a while, but never had every note of every line and every inflection and tone on each word broken down like that." The song was released on, "Brave the Rain," on June 29th of 2000.
Lyrics
A little to much time

Clock over my window chimes.
Seems we’re living in changing times.
Try to hang on to the past,
And all the things that we swore would last.
Time moves about at it’s own will,
Could stop those hands and time won’t stand still.
It just moves about in it’s peculiar way,
To make life pass you just like it’s been one day.
On the corner a church bell rings.
No one knows what tomorrow brings.
One young man he begins his life,
With a good paying job,And his good loving wife.
But for his neighbor things aren’t the same.
His reputations clouded by his bad name,
And his daughter, well she went and ran.
To clear herself from her fathers dirty hands.
Had a dream and when I awoke,
I recognized your face from before.
I ain’t seen you in quite a while,
But I miss your voice, and I miss your smile.
There’s a party going on down town,
And I was thinking could take you around.
But when I called you up you say you found somebody new.
I guess I waited just a little to much time for you.
