Lyrics
I went to the store,
To buy some apricots.
I looked around,
But they had none.
I came across
Some things called appicots,
So I bought a container but refused to pay full price.
They were like no other fruit I had ever tasted,
Like magical natural candy that hit the spot.
I couldn't help thinking of all of the time I had wasted
On those bland, jerky, bitter-tasting, self-serving apricots.
So for a year
I lived on appicots.
I lived my life
As happy as could be.
Until one day
In search of appicots,
I found in their place their dreaded arch enemy.
I threw myself down on the floor and I cried and cried,
As I picked myself up I felt my stomach tie up in knots.
I'll go on living my life though I'll hurt inside,
'Cause I'll never forget my affair with appicots.
