    Story Behind the Song
I wrote this song back in 2000, I think. Its a little older, but at the time this was my favorite song I had done up to that point. Everyone seems to like this song (females especially)...I guess they like the message involved. I wrote the song thinking about how it will be when I finally meet the girl I can love forever. I was thinking how she'd be like, what we'd do, and how I'd feel finally finding her. I didn't want to settle for anyone less than who G-d had for me, since I had spent most of my adult life just settling for females who looked good. I wanted someone deeper than that, who like Mary (Miriam in Hebrew) in the Bible had fully submitted herself to G-d's will. I wanted a beautiful girl, who radiated with inner beauty. She would be a diamond. To her (or you, if that describes you) I dedicate this song.

    Lyrics
    (Chorus):
    Every day, when I pray/
I ask G-d when he's gonna bring you my way/
There are times when I get lonely/
Start thinking about how you'll be there to hold me/
Every time when I go to a show/
    I'm wondering if I see you, will I know/
Could it be you?/ Could it be you?/

Dear missing element in my life/
I write thinking of you as my wife/
But more importantly as the daughter of the G-d who gave me light/
I'm looking forward to you day and night/
Sometimes I get a little impatient waiting for you/
    But I know you'll be worth it/
    I'm his servant, observing/
    His faithfulness within my past/
So no objecting or questioning what's in my path/
My only question is are you steadfast/
In the prayer and supplication to make our worlds crash/
    You'll be twirled fast/
Into my arms, holding you with a kiss/
I've waited my whole life for this/
So as I lay on the hood of my car/
Looking at the stars, I wonder in my heart where you are/
And then a moment of illumination/
I realize you're probably in the same situation/
A single girl searching after holiness with her whole heart/
    Set apart/
    The mind set of Miriam/
    A lily among thorns/
A ray of light shining in a world of storms/
    You're beyond beautiful/
But not in the artificial, conditional way of the media/
Modesty covers you like a veil/
    You don't wear fine jewelry/
    Cause you're a gem, why would a diamond put on a ruby?/

    (Chorus)

    Sometimes I wonder/
If I'm supposed to be with you, and you for me/
Then why do I waste my time/
Trying to hook up with a girl that's not mine/
Following the flesh just because she looks fine/
Acting like the swine that I once was/
Now I've learned to change my ways/
    Living forgiven by G-d's grace/
Its a test of faith waiting on an unseen face/
    When I don't know if you're waiting for me/
    In purity/
Like I want you to be/
    I mean, look/
For you I've kissed dating good-bye, without even reading the book/
I'm done giving away little pieces of my heart/
To girls who don't deserve any part/
Cause you deserve the whole thing/
And that's the same for me/
So please flee from the pleasures of immorality/
    Like a virgin/
Because I am, and the longer/
We're apart, it makes my heart grow fonder.

    (Chorus)
