    Story Behind the Song
Song about a guy walking into a bar, thinking he's hot, putting down the ugly girl sitting next to him until he's had a few drinks. She starts looking good to him then but he's not looking too good to her. They decide that they both need to drink each other pretty since apparently they're going home together. A true love story.

    Lyrics
    I Can't Drink Her Pretty

Walked into the bar it was half past nine
Thought to myself You know I'm lookin' so fine
Sat down on the stool, I heard a sound to my right
I looked over there, it was a terrible sight
She wouldn't leave me alone, she wouldn't go away
And I was really wishin' that I'd stayed home that day
One eye looked at me and the other at the wall
I could tell right away I was in for a haul
She asked for a light, I wanted to leave the city
I said I been drinkin' a lot but "I CAN'T DRINK YOU PRETTY"

I been drinkin' a lot but "I CAN'T DRINK YOU PRETTY"
Now I'm getting' down to the real nitty gritty
I Feel like I should leave the lights of the city
'Cause I been drinkin' a lot but "I CAN'T DRINK YOU PRETTY"

It might be the hour or it might be the beer
    Don't know what's happening I ain't thinkin' too clear
The later it gets the better you look
It might be the rum or them shots that I took
As I looked in your good eye and gave you a wink
You said I got to have six more drinks
You looked at me and said, "You ain't no prize"
But I couldn't get none of them other guys
So now we're really getting' down to the real nitty gritty
I been drinkin' a lot too but "I CAN'T DRINK YOU PRETTY"

I ain't havin' no luck with nobody else
And as drunk as I am I ain't leavin' by myself
I know I'm not the best thing you ever had
But you're not either and that ain't so bad
I know that I'm ugly but you're ugly too
And no matter what I think, I guess I'm leavin' with you
But it's last call for alcohol and we better load up
Then we'll head out back to my old beat up truck
We'll head uptown to the lights of the city
And both of us will try to drink the other one pretty

I been drinkin' a lot but "I CAN'T DRINK YOU PRETTY"
Now we're getting' down to the real nitty gritty
I feel like I should leave the lights of the city
'Cause I been drinkin' a lot but "I CAN'T DRINK YOU PRETTY"

    Break and walkup

I been drinkin' a lot but "I CAN'T DRINK YOU PRETTY"
Now we're getting' down to the real nitty gritty
I feel like I should leave the lights of the city
'Cause I been drinkin' a lot but "I CAN'T DRINK YOU PRETTY"
