Story Behind the Song
Wrote this song about this character I used to see out in the clubs who I thought was very interesting and odd, but very cool. Little did I know when I wrote this song that he actually worked in a strange retro shop that was actually named Hullaballoo! I walked into the shop one day about two months after I recorded the song to buy a pair of Doc Marten boots and there he was, working behind the counter! I could have fallen over right then! Weird Karma! Still don't know his name, but I owe this song to him!
Lyrics
Hullaballoo Man
Hullabaloo Man, St. Francis on your arm
What does that mean does it keep you safe from harm
Hullaballo man why the smile on your face
Have you lost your mind did you leave it someplace?
Well, you’re not living in the sixties, that was before your time,
This is another Era,
it’s gonna blow your mind
Hullaballoo Man
Hullaballoo Man with your Doc Marten boots,
Hullaballoo Man with your jet black roots
Hullaballoo Man with that spoon up your nose
Hullaballoo man guess that’s just the way it goes
Well, you’re not living in the sixties, that was before your time,
This is another Era,
It’s gonna blow your mind
Hullaballoo Man
Hullaballoo, yeaheh, Hey Man
Lead
Solos
Well, you’re not living in the sixties, that was before your time,
This is another Era,
It’s gonna blow your mind
Hullaballoo Man
Hullaballoo, yeaheh, Hey Man
Lead out with Scat
(He’s the Man)
