	Story Behind the Song In certain locations on the hills and bluffs between Rowena and Celilo along the Columbia River in Oregon, you can hear voices in the wind. You can almost make out what these voices are saying and some are perhaps in the Wasco language. As a child, I thought these voices to be spirits of people who had walked these same hills generations before me. I always listen closely to see if I can pick up some information about which direction my steps should go to find answers to the questions I had. As if these spirit voices where my advisors. As it turns out, perhaps they where. Indeed, I'm constantly walking toward spirit voices. Destination and purpose not known, but accepted as destiny. Ed
