The night crept in as the temperature dropped to a chilling bliss. Staring up at the sky you begin close your eyes only to concentrate on the cracking of the massive limbs of the trees above. Left and right they come crashing down around you. The wind picks up causing a hard, dry crackling noises in the distance. Arms are raised, eyes still closed, you feel the chilling cold run down your body. It feels like the creatures are all around you and they will pounce at any given moment. Opening your eyes, you look around. You stand comfortably in a clear spot of the forest only to look all around to be surrounded by an recent ice storm war against the trees and other inanimate objects. I ask my little brother, “Jared. What were you doing outside at 4 in the morning with your arms raised up anyways?” “I dunno” he replied. “ya. Ok.” What a dumb story. But true.
