We all face our figurative storms. We feel them moving in. We feel them growing. They do pass, but we will never forget them. And by surviving... we realize that there's hope in the darkest of hours. |

Story Behind the Song
My sister had started dating one of the first musicians I had ever collaborated with. He was/is a great friend, but she was my sister... my only sister. And I was concerned because of it. I let that concern take over my way of thinking about him and their relationship. I was blinded by my fear of her getting hurt. I was in my own personal 'storm.' But, in time, I realized the beauty of their relationship. They are meant for each other.
Lyrics
storm
walk it off. talk it out. think about it.
don’t let it get to you. get inside your head, cause
a circle can not be a square. you may wonder,
is anybody out there that really cares
it’s getting darker, but it’s day.
these clouded eyes block my way
from streets of fate, they
crumble down below my feet.
i’m feeling so much noise.
can’t help worrying for all these girls and boys.
-R- i’m on my knees, settling.
warm rain washes over me.
i’m begging please cover me
keep me warm and safe from this storm.
when it rains. when it falls. can you feel it?
do you need it? will it ever end?
lightening crashes. thunder calls, and when it calls
sometimes i fall
-R-
there’s a storm in my head
a storm in my mind
a shadow of doubt that grows with time
a storm in my heart
a storm in my eyes
i think i; think i
i think i will stand. think i will fight
when the clouds hide the light
and the days turn into nights
don’t be scared…
out there beyond the haze
you’ll find your way
and i’ll be there
-R-
