Story Behind the Song
We wrote this song the day after the Sept. 11th tragedy. We wanted to give the families something to help with their sorrow and to re-inspire our country with the knowledge that justice and love will prevail.
As the lyrics proclaim, we will overcome this hardship if we "Unite, Stand Tall and Live in Bravery."
Lyrics
We Love Our Country, America
By Ray Soular and Frank Jaramillo
Blessed are the ones who gave their lives
Blessed are the ones who mourn
Blessed are the ones who rise with faith
From the ashes, hope's reborn
(Chorus)
Our hearts cry out to our family
Unite! Stand tall! Live in Bravery!
No matter how they strike at our freedom
We'll trust in God
We vow for peace 'cause we love our country, America
The spirit of our Lord will lead the way
The cause of justice will prevail
Towers may collapse, but they'll never sway
His solid love that tips the scale
(Chorus)
Our hearts cry out to our family
Unite! Stand tall! Live in Bravery!
No matter how they strike at our freedom
We'll trust in God
We vow for peace 'cause we love our country, America
Let them hear our voice throughout the world
Even where the darkness lies
Then they'll know the truth, We love our Lord
He's blessing us with guiding light
(Chorus)
Our hearts cry out to our family
Unite! Stand tall! Live in Bravery!
No matter how they strike at our freedom
We'll trust in God
We vow for peace 'cause we love our country, America
