    Story Behind the Song
    This song was recorded on a Sunday afternoon in my friend's basement. He programmed the drums and I did the rest.

    Lyrics
    It gets to where I can't sleep at night;
    I'm too afraid of my dreams.
    And I'm so far from-never had a home;
    and I don't know what it means.
    But hey, everybody's searching,
    looking for their own kind of peace.
    And maybe someday I'll make it somewhere;
    but it's always out of reach.

    Chorus
    Just another long all night, another short goodbye
    Another day's been wasted; and I'm left wondering why.
    There has to be an answer to the question of myself...
    But I sometimes think it's easier
    to be somebody else...

    Open the blinds to let the light in;
    the moon shines on my bed.
    Light a cigarette-tomorrow I'll quit,
    as the words form in my head.
    Another day spent regretting the things that I've said, and what I should have done.
    Sometimes it's so hard to keep going;
    But I know I'm not the only one.

    Chorus

    Time to say a prayer for tomorrow;
    I'll do it better then.
    And I know it can be all right;
    it's just a question of when.
    And yeah, I'd really like to fly away,
    and leave this all behind.
    And even though I feel so awkward,
    I know that it's all in my mind.

    Chorus
