A truthful tune about anxiety disorder and the 'girl interrupted'. My lyric concept is based loosely on the book while the spooky pattern of the song(from vocalist to spoken word) carries a similarity to that famous Shakespeare Sister song. This song will only be available for a limited time- an mp3.com exclusive. Thank you to the wonderful vocalist Shanna Slone for making this song work. |

Lyrics
Shanna:
Too many windows, left to jump out
Sometimes my head hurts, what’s it all about
So intent on popping red pills
When cross examined, they took my will
Amy:
First you’ll let them have their way and tell you who you are
When they go to sleep, then you steal their car
They will look for you - you won’t get too far
Take you to a doctors room and stick things in your arm
Shanna:
Where is this noise that, I keep on hearing
Far too much sound here inspires me to sing
Laying down in an over padded bed
They say it won’t hurt me to stand on my head
Amy:
Now it’s time to go to sleep and have a nightmare
6am, rise and shine - act like you don’t care (I don’t care)
You’ll have to take some pills and sing a lullaby
No one will notice, the cutting on your thighs (alright)
It’s ok, we’re all the same, equally insane
So sit down dear and make some crafts
It won’t cause you any pain
This is your life, you realize, when the day is through
You look around at all the girls and see
They look like you
Shanna:
Close your eyes quietly and see what I see
Take my hand lightly, do you feel the energy?
Is that the life-force that comes from within
Or is that the shock treatment seeping through my skin
